The world’s first Massive Open Online Course on Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) in forest-related sectors – ForGEDI MOOC - will premiere on 8 April on the FutureLearn platform. ForGEDI Initiative MOOC advances GEDI in forestry through reducing the educational gap and making the latest research and best practices in the field easily available to everyone.
The course is a collaboration between 29 organisations and 40 international experts on five continents, and is jointly coordinated by University of Padova (UNIPD), the SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and Université de Moncton, Canada. Co-funders of the course are SLU Global and Forest Stewardship Council International. Among the organisations contributing with materials are UN Women, CIFOR-ICRAF, and Forest Stewardship Council International.
