Riassunto: The project aims to study methods for improving and harmonising fire risk forecasting and mapping at cross-border level, in order to reduce forest fire risk exposure.
UNIPD/TESAF's role is focused on Work Package 1, of which it is leader, and which envisages the collection and mapping through a spatial data infrastructure (geodatabase) of risk factors related to forest fires. Specifically, the Activity 1.2 will involve UNIPD in the mapping of fuel types and propagation models using these information layers.
