• Professore Ordinario in Petrologia e Petrografia dal 9/2020, Dipartimento TESAF, Università di Padova.
• Professore Associato al Dipartimento di di Geoscienze in Petrologia e Petrografia dal 2006 (confermato dal 2009).
• Ricercatore al Dipartimento di Mineralogia e Petrologia, Università di Padova (dicembre 2002-febbraio 2006).
• Assistant (febbraio-settembre 1999) e poi Maître Assistant (con compiti di insegnamento e ricerca) al Département de Minéralogie, Università di Ginevra (ottobre 1999- novembre 2002; cf. allegato post-docs).

Attività di ricerca principale:
magmatismo di Large Igneous provinces, CAMP, Deccan, Paranà, Wrangellia, e cambiamenti climatici. Magmatismo alcalino intra-placca (Cameroon, Azzorre, Paraguay, Etiopia, Veneto), magmatismo post-ccollisionale Permiano.

Attività di insegnamento: dal 2003 a UNIPD 15 corsi diversi. Tutotre di oltre 120 tesi di laurea triennale e magistrale, e di 7 dottorati di ricerca.
