Debris flows in a changing environment: processes, controls, consequences
The seminar conference aims to provide a highly-qualified forum on the debris-flow phenomenon deserving a specific focus on the changing patterns of triggers and movement, the mountain-land impact and the risk communication. The seminar is conceived under the umbrella of an updated state of the art, also accounting for role and position of public/private technical offices and involved stakeholders. The conference will target students, scientists, practitioners and public managers.
The conference is shared in three parts: Italian speaker day; Field trip day; English speaker day.
The field trip locations (Boite river valley, Cortina) are the following: rio Rudan fan area, debris-flow initiation zone in Rovina di Cancia, Fiames area (Pomagagnon massif) equipped with the monitoring station.
